disabling AFM on Yukon?

I'm looking to see if anyone here has deactivated the AFM feature on their trucks. Active Fuel Management. 8 to 4 cylinder operation.
I have read some GM service bulletins regarding this feature and related oil consumption.
I just found this device online and wonder if anyone has used it or something similar with success with no ill effects.

Re: disabling AFM on Yukon?

I have mine turned off on my 2011 GMC 5.3. We did it when we did a EFI Live tune on it. 130,000 miles and no adverse affects.

Re: disabling AFM on Yukon?

I used the "range" disabling device. Google search for a discount coupon. Got mine for 20% off. Makes the Tahoe very driveable. Getting about 1/2 - 1 mpg better mileage since I don't have to dog it so much. Highly recommended if need to maintain your warranty.
