BTW if the ball is damaged it can be driven out and the joint can be updated to a modern one.

I wish it was that easy. The front arm snapped in half, I'm guessing the piece had a hairline crack in it for years and when I was turning in my driveway it finished her off.

They can flex quite a bit. It's worse with wide tires installed.
