Throttle cable question.....
On my 77 Cheyenne the throttle cable doesn't have any kind of clip to hold it on. Is this normal, or not?
It takes quit a bit of pushing to get it far enough down the slot, to remove it. I just can't remember if there should be any type of keeper on it?

It would seem that it couldn't come off. I know the kick down cable has a clip, I just can't remember if the throttle cable should have the same type of clip or not...

Canadian-Ron, you are 100% correct. I guess I have had my head in the paint fumes to long. I got that all backwards.
OK, now that I have been corrected, does the kickdown cable need a retainer clip??? |

No because it is like a slider on a door chain. It has a larger hole for the circle to go into but will not slide out of the travel part.
