'69 chevy c-10 blower fan
Pulled the fan/cage out. The motor spins fine,,,,no sound,,,need to replace the cage. Question is,,,if I buy, say one from LMC, will the rpms be faster? Or should I just buy the cage from them ($17) and use the original fan motor. Actually I would like to have more rpms from the motor = more air flow. Thanks ,,,Bill

I am interested in the answer to this question as well. I noticed my fan motor blows quite slow compated to newer vehicles.

It seems like a 4 inch cage if it will fit will move more air. Is that the diameter of the cage or the depth of the cage. Post a link if its allowed.

Ok,,,,mine is 5 1/2 across and 3" deep,,,,,I measured the amount of room in the case,,,can't get a 4" one in there,,,either faster rpms,,,,or,,,,,wider or possibly more slant to the blades,,would definitely move more air,,,,

Re: '69 chevy c-10 blower fan
maybe your motor's old & tired. they're only about $20 at Oreilly. Saw new AC Delco motor and fan for $40 online... search A/C blower motor 1969 C10.

Re: '69 chevy c-10 blower fan
I've checked some of the posts for fan motors/baskets. Most are for units with AC and have a 4" cage. 3" is what came out of it,,,
