driveshaft question
hello so i just removed my drive shaft, and i was wondering is it bad to have it just exposed? like will anything dry out in the transmission, or should i put a cover on it, or should i just not worry about it at all. i could probably put a plastic bag over it so dirt and what not won't get in, but do i need to worry about the atf drying out or anything? thanks

Re: driveshaft question
They will leak if the trans is angled down. I wouldn't worry about it drying out. Putting a baggie over the tail shaft is a good idea to keep the crud out if you'll be doing any grinding or such.

Re: driveshaft question
did you scribe marks on the cap and yoke so they go back together the same? Sometimes they are tuned for a specific balance.
