Proud on the clean up of my 87, turning out pretty good!

I love this truck it's the only vehicle that I said I will never sell and standing by it! Anyway she has 68k original miles on her and the water pump started leaking at the same time as the radiator and believe or not I came out of the gym one day and the heater core had started leaking and was running out of the passenger door and to the ground!

Giving it had never been touched it set in some maintenance needed done but I wanted to keep it original so I had the original harrison radiator and heater core RECORED with the same core as original just new and retained the side tanks.

I also sent my original water pump to author gold in NY I believe it was to restore the pump. He is well known in the ncrs corvette restoration society for this work.

Figured while she was down and out bead blast all brackets and finish with correct paint and finish (took wet sanding etc to get right with spray cans)

Re worked the alternator new bearings, re finish it, checked all components diode trio, stator windings etc all were good so it's done and back in.

The manifolds..how could I almost forget those let me TELL YOU if you want to do a good job on these manifolds be prepared..I had to remove the original heat stove to blast the section under it then by new rivets and new heat stove which comes in TWO pieces. What you have to do as seen in the picture is rivet the front part onto the manifold THEN spot weld the back section to the front

It's not body off by any means but I think it will make a world difference when all together

That's a heck of a truck and great workmanship on your part. You should be proud.
