6" rear drop kit from ECE

Has anyone installed/used this kit from ECE? I want to see how low the rear is on a truck. Not sure if I should do 5" or 6" drop. Pics would help out a lot.

Re: 6" rear drop kit from ECE

I know I'm going to do a 4" or 4.5 up front, not sure wheel size yet? I was thinking something like a transport or Delmo wheel.

6 inch is perfect little rake, 5 inch will be to much rake for that drop

Re: 6" rear drop kit from ECE

Don't forget to trim the rear bump stops. There's only about an inch of travel with the originals. Mine were toast and I had these left over in the garage.

Re: 6" rear drop kit from ECE

I have a fleet bed I'm building for my truck now, but in reality will probably be another 2 years before it goes on the truck, and while it's apparently not necessary to do so now (have yet to bottom her out) I plan on doing a C-notch when I swap the bed for extra insurance.

I'm not sure how the blazer frames differ from the trucks.

Re: 6" rear drop kit from ECE

Mine is a leaf truck, but a flip netted 7" of drop. 2 1/2" ECE disc spindles and 2" springs in the front. No c-notch.

I like that a lot. Whom makes the 7" drop in the rear? The lowest I have seen so far is 6". Do you have a build thread?

Re: 6" rear drop kit from ECE

this was the 1/2" block before I tried the 1" kept going as low as I could with out notching just trimmed the bump stops. blazer maybe different especially if you are gonna put people in the back you may have to notch.

That is cool. I'm gonna C-Notch it, so we will see how low I can get.

Re: 6" rear drop kit from ECE

This is with a Western Chassis 4/6 kit with 225/70/15 tires. It is a big block so that's got the front a little low. In the rear at ride height the axle is touching the factory bump stop.
