Distance between cab mount

Hello all, my truck was in a very minor accident, but it was just enough to move the cab around to mess up my measurements. So I measured the middle of the front cab mount hole to the middle of the rear cab mount hole on the drivers side to be 42", but the measurement for the passengers side was 41 and 3/4". So I was wondering what the exact measurement was so I can put the cab mounts at the right distance and not have to worry about things not lining up. Thanks everyone!

Re: Distance between cab mount

They may be different TYPES of frames but the measurements would all be the same as the sheetmetal is the same[of course give or take a few alterations to be model specific] If you are moved to one side and your measurement is off use the X measurement to put it back square. meaning measure from say lf to rr then rf to lr . Or to get close first if it has moved just take a reading from the frame to rocker and then move the cab to the short side. Say a reading of 40 on one side and 42 on the other it needs to move have the distance [meaning they both would read 41 after you move it] This can be helpful in fronts so the hood fits better and anywhere your having trouble. There is your body shop basics for the day. Jim
