I am installing my painless harness and I am going from the firewall around the back of the motor to the passenger side for all the items over there. Instead of hanging the loom above the engine, I tucked it behind it. it is out of the way of the exhaust, but it is sitting on the trans. It is wrapped in that woven wire wrap, nit the corrugated stuff. Your thoughts? I am sure it will not get hot enough to cause any damage, but wanted to check

prob fine. alot of factory harnesses run there. I would probably put some convoluted on it as well for extra rub protection.

Not a bad idea, I can fab one up. I have a similar bracket on the drivers side that bends easy to hold the wires back

I ran the wires around the back of the motor and kind of down the transmission. I then came around the back of the block on the transmission side before I crossed the header. I then tied them to the lifting lug on the transmission to keep them tight to the block. Nice and hidden. You can hardly see any wires, You can barely see the wires to the alternator. the only wires that will really be exposed are the ones to my heater/air-conditioner box. But I am still trying to run these wires underneath. The one thing I am concerned about now is the big hole on the right side of the air box. The old harness had the wires from the heater switch go through this whole. the new painless harness have them coming across the firewall under the hood. Need to find a way to plug this. I thought about duct tape. But really would not look good on a frame off
