Re: Battery hold down ideas?
Battery hold down's are pretty easy to make.
My dad has bent one end of a metal rod, threaded the other for a nut, and used a metal bar across the top of the battery with a hole on each end for the threaded rod. The bent ends hook into holes in the battery tray. You could make something with those bungee cords, I have seen dad do that too. Look at what you need and figure out how to get there. |

Re: Battery hold down ideas?
I've used a cam style and a ratcheting style tie downs before to hold a battery in place.

Re: Battery hold down ideas?
Anyway you can return the battery and get one that works? I've never bought one that didn't.

Re: Battery hold down ideas?
IMO I wouldn't buy a Walmart brand. I used to buy cheap batteries (assuming cheap), but I had starting issues between that and the starter, and that was from Walmart. Yeah good is twice as much cash.

Re: Battery hold down ideas?
Agreed to extent, it's all I used to buy. I used to think a battery is a battery. I could be wrong, but I could swear my starting issue was part starter, part not enough power to the starter, and the battery wasn't that old. Then I have to consider the original battery on my Tundra. I replaced it after seven years, and not because I had to. I don't think you'd see that with a cheap one.
