No limit rear shock relocation install question...
So I installed this kit the other day with no real difficulty. One thing is not quite right, so I wanted to get some insight.
Every picture I have seen have the shocks mounted to the lower brackets on the inboard side, so I Assume this is the correct approach. My passenger side shock is mounted this way and is straight(vertical). The driver shock however is not straight when mounted this way. Not sure how much in terms of degree, but from the side load on the bushings, I can see that driving it this way would not be good. It is however straight when mounted on the outboard side of the bracket. Can I assume that I should not leave it this way, and am I correct in thinking that my rear is not centered correctly? I do have an adjustable panhard bar and my truck is bagged. My only concern here is that by moving the rear toward the driver side so that the shock can be mounted on the inboard side, I will create the same problem on the passenger side since the entire rear will shift over. Is my goal here to find middle ground where both shocks are off center about the same amount? And of course hope that they both straighten out enough. |

First make sure you have the brackets on the correct side of the truck.
Then put the truck at highway ride height. Then center your panhard rod. Now you can check for misalignment of the bracket. They should be somewhat equal. Slight amount of misalignment is OK, as the bushings can handle a few degrees. I had one upper bracket that had a cocked mount bushing that No Limit replaced. I ended up fabbing some weld on ones that I used instead for a little cleaner look. Russ

Without posting pictures it's hard to say what the problem is. Drivers side. Passenger side ![]()

I would look at the trailing arms and see if it's bent. It may be coming a part also check it and make sure it's good.
I would measure the center of the rear end to the frame and see if it's off also. Do this at ride height. ![]()
