K20 Lockout ?

I have a 71 K20 with after market lockouts and wanted to ask if anyone knows if 67/68 factory lockouts can work as a direct fit / replacement on a 71. I like the look of the all metal lockout and it would give a matching look to the HO52.

Thanks, Scott

Re: K20 Lockout ?

Those are for 69 and newer. The ones I'm asking about are all metal that came on 67/68 K20's. ill post a pic if I can find one.

Thanks, Scott

Re: K20 Lockout ?

I don't believe they will work with the open knuckle axles

Re: K20 Lockout ?

According to my research, the part numbers are the same for the replacement locking hubs from 67 thru 72 K20 trucks.

So, do the earlier hubs interchange? I couldn't say, just never considered it and assumed they were different.
Here's my all metal era-correct look:

Re: K20 Lockout ?

I decided to run these while I go with the 9.75" aluminum slots a while. I got grade 8 allens heads, painted them black, bronze lock washers, disassembled and painted body of hub gloss black. I don't run center caps, the rear hub is gloss black, too. I've considered painting red background (originally black), but thinking just keep all chrome

This was my thought as well Tim. I figured they were different but I've honestly never tried to put the old style hub on a 70-72 open knuckle.
