Motor mount recall Dec.4/71
I seen today a description of the recall on the Facebook page for Speedway Motors, I had heard of the recall but didn't know of the cable/bracket fix, now I know that this must be the fix on my 69, I have had several trucks and cars over the years within the recall period but this is the first I have seen it actually in place.
Does anyone else have this on their trucks ? Sorry about the poor pics. I have the inner fender off for brake/power steer upgrade. So that helped! I'm sure the clamshell style replaced these for those reasons, the article says trucks 65-70 affected.

Re: Motor mount recall Dec.4/71
Just to add, 70 was the last year for the solid rod throttle linkage. 71 went to the cable style which wouldn't bind up if a motor mount broke.

Re: Motor mount recall Dec.4/71
This is strange, I was just looking into this myself after working on mine this weekend. I remembered some sort of restraint being installed but not the details. Per the pictures I'm missing the engine bracket and cable

Re: Motor mount recall Dec.4/71
The bracket looks machine punched and there is longer manifold bolts for the back of the manifold. They are the same as factory bolts for the manifolds but about 1/2" longer if I remember right. There is a sleeve on the cable for wear where it doubles back under the frame bracket.
Reminded me of a rusted out 65 Ford truck I bought for parts that had a 350/350 swap. Had a biscuit mount on the front that mounted to the crossmember like the ford 6's did. Had 3/8 chain bolted to the headers and to the frame When you rev'd it the chains would slap tight. Haha The mounts in my 69 are tight. This cable restraint does not even quiver or tighten at all

Hold downs were installed on the passenger side also. The style was different depending on A/C or no A/C. Driver side was the same. Here's a copy of the recall letter.

Not a very good picture of it, but here's the pass side on my '67:
And the driver's side:
