I came through Mt Home earlier today. I need to take a look at your truck sometime.

Re: Wheel vintiques 16x8
They haven't gotten into making any 6-lug OEM-style wheels at this point.

Nice to have this option. I wonder if these are hub centric?

Re: Wheel vintiques 16x8
I had no choice to go with 16s once the 16.5 tires went away. The WV 16x8 was a good price as the ford rims in the local yards were going for $75. I wanted white powder coat but it was not available from summit and WV did not have a date for their next batch to go to the coaters. Ill wait and see how the powder coat holds up as others have stated theirs was rusting after a short while. If it holds up Ill leave them, if they peel Ill shoot the rims white.
Mocked up the caps and they looked sweet but popped on and off quite easily! Ill have to see if the caps stay on while bouncing along on the trail. |

Re: Wheel vintiques 16x8
Personally I prefer painted rims. Easy to change colors and touch up. I think the ones on my old green truck were powder coated though. I had just sold that truck to a friend and part of the deal was I had to put those tires and wheels on it.
Ordered everything through Les Schwab's and they offered the powder coating option super cheap.

Re: Wheel vintiques 16x8
These wheels have been around a while now. Price is reasonable. I was paying $75-ish for wide 16.5s in the '80s when you could buy slots for $90-ish. Most guys wanted to add shiny for their money. With sandblasting, powder coating and caps it was $550-ish vs $360-ish for slots. But, by the '80s slots weren't popular. It was turbines, then Outlaws. Painted and chrome steel wheels were even cheaper.
I've figured I'll get some once I'm done with 16.5s. I had sold a new 6" lift and freshly powder coated (white) 8.25s with 37/12.50-16.5 Swampers to switch to 285/75s and 16 x 8s. I needed the money for other things, but I have the set of 16.5 aluminum slots with good BFG A/Ts to roll. I like to have a set of road and off road.
