Suburban Body Lift??
Hey guys, I have an '87 Suburban with 6in lift and 37" tires. They fit pretty decent, but when flexing they are getting into the fenders. I am trying to decide which way to go to keep them out of the fenders. I have a 3" body lift that I have already purchased. I also have a set of Zero Rates. I have not installed either yet.
I was wondering if I could get a way with just doing the Zero Rates and using them to push the front axle ahead enough to keep them out of the fenders? Or should I just bite the bullet and put the body lift in? Or will I need to do both? I have no problem with doing either one, so I really don't want to hear a pros and cons debate, just looking for pictures. If you guys could post up pictures of trucks, blazers, or suburbans with either a body lift, zero rates in front to move the axle ahead, or both it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Re: Suburban Body Lift??
If I was in your shoes I'd move it forward and trim. 3" is a lot of body lift.

Re: Suburban Body Lift??
35" tires.
Section the fender and expand/lengthen the rear half of the wheel well arch. It needs to move a few inches toward the cab. Body lift - watch your body to chassis connections / linkages and Center Of Gravity Fender Trim = The lower fender now has a gap between inner & outer skin = rust in the lower fender and front of the rocker over a period of several years.

Re: Suburban Body Lift??
I am more looking for pics of each setup. Not really interested in advice or a how to thread. I'd just like to see pics of squarebodies that have either a body lift or the axle moved ahead with a Zero Rate setup.

Re: Suburban Body Lift??
I wouldn't go above 1 inch body lift. 3 inch Body lift is too much and adds stress to the frame when flexing.

Re: Suburban Body Lift??
Any other pics of Suburbans with body lifts? Or people with experience with moving the axle ahead with Zero-Rates?
