Steering stabilizer mount

Does anyone know the measurement as to where the steering stabilizer bracket mounts on the tie rod of a 72 K20? I recently purchased the tie rod bracket and from an older thread I can see the approximate location but I was just wanting to know more exactly where it goes.

Re: Steering stabilizer mount

Just crank the wheel moving the tie rod towards the stabilizer, then collapse the stabilizer and pull it out about 1/4"and bolt it up.

Or if you want after doing the above just put a permanent marker mark on the tie rod, then turn the other way and pull the stabilizer to full extend and mark the tie rod again, you should be able to split the difference.

Re: Steering stabilizer mount

hope I can post a pic, the measurement is from the mount on the axle to the mount on the tie rod, I only have the stabilizer on my '74 axles, my '72 doesn't have a stabilizer.. the measurement from center of bolt to center of bolt is 18 3/4"
