Re: 1969 gmc
The shifter linkage is screwed up. The guy I bought it from was driving it daily. Plan for now is just fix the little issues and drive it

Re: 1969 gmc
Thanks. Got all the original papers with the truck, original GA truck. I was thinking I wanted a truck to put A/C auto OD in and have a nice classic everyday truck. This may be to original to change things.

Re: 1969 gmc
Welcome, on the home page, in the upper left hand corner is a FAQ section. Go there and then to the 67-72 section and there you will find a guide on how to set the linkage on your truck it should help things greatly. Jim

Smart move on your part. The linkage shouldn't be a big deal to get straightened out. Welcome to the board..... LockDoc

Re: 1969 gmc
Welcome to the forum from a guy born and raised in Villa Rica GA. Nice looking truck you picked up. You can tell by the VIN if the truck was built in the Atlanta assembly plant. If you post pictures of the SPID there are very knowledgeable folks here that can break it down for you.
