4/6 drop finished!

With everyone's help I have finally finished the hotchkis 4/6 drop with 1" blocks additional in the rear to eliminate an rake. But after its on the ground I was checking everything and the rear end is sitting on the bump stops and has a total of 2- 2 1/2" before it bottoms out on the frame. So I believe I'm going to have to take the 1" blocks out because I'm not at the point I'm ready to notch the frame yet. Tell me what yall think!?

Re: 4/6 drop finished!

Mine is about 2-2.5 inches from the bump stops. I trimmed the bump stops about an inch. I only bottom out when I have a few hundred pounds loaded in the bed.

Re: 4/6 drop finished!

I used CPP 2 inch drop spindles and cut one single round off springs.

The rear I used drop springs and 1 inch blocks. I got it all from CPP. I also put disc brakes on all fours and sway bars on front and back. It handles really good for a 42 yr old truck.

Re: 4/6 drop finished!

Could just be the angles but it looks low in the back now anyway. I think it will look better with the 1" blocks out of the back.

Re: 4/6 drop finished!

I like the look of the truck sitting right on the tires. Its about 1 inch above the tires now. Thanks. I am building a 400 stroker motor for it now. Just bought FAST fuel injection for it. I hope to have it back together by end of summer.
Here are a few more pics after the drop.

Re: 4/6 drop finished!

My interior. I recently moved the gas tank and and put in a rear mounted Boyd tank. I'm going to rung the filler neck out of the rear side marker light.
