Question My 96 straight trade for a 93 proposal= Help?

Ok, fellow Chevy enthusiasts/gearheads help me out with this 1...

Neighbor has a 1993 Chevy 1/2ton, ext cab, 4x4, 350 TBI, a little over 200k on body and everything else has 20k mi on it (engine, trans, rearend, etc.) with 0 issues. Well maintained!

I (well it was my late father's) have a 1996 Chevy 1/2ton, reg cab, swb, 4x4, 350 Vortec with 17xk miles on it (& everything else that I am aware of at least) and it has needs (tires, trans leaks, not as well maintained, etc).

Anyways he is willing to trade straight across- his truck for mine.
I like the idea of having the extra space with the ext cab & like the idea of having a reliable truck.

And I know nothing about the 350 TBI engine.

His truck mainly sits, he doesn't drive it often as he has another truck he regularly drives. He said he'd use my (dad's) truck as a farm truck, plus fix it and drive it too.

But help me out.
What do you guys think?
Give me a good run down of the TBI too please.

Some may say this deal might be "too good to be true".
But this neighbor was good friends with my dad before he passed and my dad helped him out a lot with work around his place (clearing it up and stuff years ago). He has also been good to me over the years, I never ask for anything but he always offers when he can and is always worried about miniscule things (like when he accidentally sprayed some grass seeds over into my yard, he kept apologizing for it even though I laughed and told him it was not a big deal I'd just have really nice grass over on that side of the yard)

TBI is simple to work on, you'll notice a drop in power, however.

it's up to you, whether the trade is worth it or not. i prefer the 95+ interiors, so that would be a no go for me.

I like standard cab short bed trucks best, so I would keep what you have.
