What have you guys done with your fuel system when converting to LS or any EFI application?

Re: LS swap.... fuel tank mods?
I used a 40 gallon square body Suburban gas tank:
Bought a extra rear crossmember from the parts board and installed it just rear of the rear axle. The existing crossmember I moved back. These two give the square body gas tank straps something to bolt to. Relocated the filler neck to the corner. The original filler neck is like 1 1/2" and the square body filler neck is 1 3/4". I had to glue a rubber spacer in the hose to make up the difference. I'm using aftermarket gauges so the old filler hole now has a sender in it. Installed a ep381 fuel pump on the stock sender. EFI line and hoses.

Re: LS swap.... fuel tank mods?
I bought a new stock suburban tank and bought an in tank pump with the LS filter and line kit from Tanks Inc. The pick up has a tray so fuel sloshing will not be a problem.

Re: LS swap.... fuel tank mods?
Hey guys I'm looking at the boys tank for my 68 burb as well, Were you able to use the tank the way they send it? were there any modifications needed as far as the fill neck location? any other info you can think of would be greatly appreciated.

Re: LS swap.... fuel tank mods?
It all depends. Is your rig stock height or bagged. Mines is bagged so I mounted the tank on the top of the frame rails so it would have more ground clearance. When you order the tank you can have them put the filler neck any where u would like ( they charge for that). So I don't know if mounting it in the stock location if the filler neck clears the top of the frame or not, I think it would. Give them a call they are good guys to deal with, hope this helps.
