Bought this truck Jan 23 2016. It is my 1st 67-72 truck. This truck has original paint and is a solid Driver. 350 engine with a 3 spd manual trans. This truck was a Longbed to shortbed conversion.

Re: 1972 Chevy C10 "Whitelie"
My plan was to give it a little clean up/detail/attitude. I ordered a new stock blue steering wheel, replace all the exterior lenses, get rid of the white bumpers.

Re: 1972 Chevy C10 "Whitelie"
I like the cut lines on the bed, i think they planned well on the sectioning. You really should (if you haven't already) look inside the frame rails at the cut to see if they welded in a diamond plate backer for added strength.

Re: 1972 Chevy C10 "Whitelie"
A little update.Had Brooks make me some more parts. Custom rear cross memeber with adjustable carrier bearing mount and holes for dual exhaust. Long- to-Shortbed frame box stiffeners bolt in to box frame where cut was made. Lastly Leaf spring crossmember bolts in for more driveshaft clearance.

Re: 1972 Chevy C10 "Whitelie"
Here is a pic to show how good my painter is. Cam rules! Several people have told me in person they can't believe how good the Paint blend is. Truck is original paint except where cam blended bed scars.

Re: 1972 Chevy C10 "Whitelie"
Any plans to add the rear side markers back in?
I bet Brooks could build a "stamping die" to recreate the recess.

Re: 1972 Chevy C10 "Whitelie"
Someone else is working on that in AZ not Brooks. My next truck will retained the bed side marker lights. Its a original paint 1968 GMC longed 3/4 ton. Big plans for this 1. I already named it #foolsgold.
