Tow hook question

I keep seeing these "tow hooks" and I must say, they look great. Were tow hooks an option for 1972 1/2 ton trucks?

Would a set bolt up to my truck's frame?

Re: Tow hook question

They were an option on all light trucks (10-30/1500-3500). Most do have the holes in the frame, but I have known of trucks not to. Just have to drill the holes on those

Re: Tow hook question

If your frame is an OE 72 K frame the mounting holes should already be there, regardless if it had tow hooks or not when it left the factory. Mel

Re: Tow hook question

I have the holes in my 72 K10 frame, but unfortunately, according to the SPID, mine didn't come with them. I'd sure like to find some, but can't see spending north of $400

Re: Tow hook question

My truck is just a 2wd but I do like the idea of tow hooks.

Maybe I'll go for a set at some point, drilling my own holes if need be.

Re: Tow hook question

They are only north of $400 when sold by people here and those who set prices by Ebay. Those selling these hooks are profiting at that price. They found the hooks cheaper, so with luck you can, too.
