56 Chevy Truck front inner fender connection
I am putting together a 56 chevy truck from parts. I have a factory assembly manual, but I can't figure out the connections of the inner fender.
I can see where it attaches to the outer fender and the radiator frame. There is a connection on the bottom of the inner fender closest to the cab, but I can't see what and where it attaches. Any suggestions for a manual or pictures. |

Re: 56 Chevy Truck front inner fender connection
The inner splash aprons attach to the two brackets (left and right) that are bolted to toe boards/floor of cab, here is a pic of mine you can see the head of bolt bracket is hidden behind splash apron.

bottom fender attaches to this bracket if you have them.

Re: 56 Chevy Truck front inner fender connection
as rude dude mention, the inner fend mounts to the firewall with 2 angle brackets
item #3 on the top of lmc catalog pg 15 both brackets mount the same direction, they bolt on with the anti squeak rubber washers

Re: 56 Chevy Truck front inner fender connection
just to right of steering column there is an L shaped bracket bolted to toe board that has a threaded hole in it that is where inner fender attaches with bolt and large rubber grommets or pads
