Perfect Light Gray 81-87 dash pad

Perfect Gray dash pad, as you can see in the pics. All speaker holes, vent holes, corners, etc. are perfect, with no cracks or tears. Perfect color to dye whatever color you need. I'm asking $550 plus shipping. I'll assume shipping to be around $50, so $600 shipped or $550 if you want to pick it up. If you've got any questions, I can be reached at #440-590-2036. Not interested in any trades unless you've got 67-72 short fleet bedsides or a bed. Thanks.

Thumbs up Re: Perfect Light Gray 81-87 dash pad

Assuming from the price, this is an OEM dash pad and not an aftermarket pad? And from looking at the pics, this pad was stripped of the original dye or it has never been dyed. When I cleaned the maroon color dye off my pad, in order to dye a new color, this is what my pad looked like too.
Well the lighting makes it look a bit off from yours.
It won't take long for this to sell.

My dash is OEM and it has not been stripped. It is the original light Gray color.

If you were to dye it a different color, do you have to strip the it down or can it go over the Gray? I'm assuming there is a special primer and dye for this application?

thanks,

thanks,
Mine was Maroon, so yes, the color has to be stripped. So we are not hijacking this post, let me find the thread I did on my dash and I will post it. I'll have to search for it.

Here it is: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=654972

Being light Gray in color, I'm sure you could go right over it with another color, as long as you are using a quality product. If it were a darker color or the factory dye was failing, then I could see the need for stripping.
