42 rear diff change --s10 frame
I am running a 350 sbc with a 700r4 with lockup and had a 3.08 gear in it. When the OD kicks in at 50 mph rpms would drop to about 1200 so I changed the whole rear diff to a 3.73 out of a 92 4 wd pickup.

Re: 42 rear diff change --s10 frame
I have found that 3:73 is the perfect ratio when doing a 700r4 or 2004r swap.

Re: 42 rear diff change --s10 frame
A 3:73 swap is a great choice especially if your SBC has a performance cam that has very little torque at low RPMs. Looks good!

Re: 42 rear diff change --s10 frame
The 350 sbc is a GM crate engine 8.5 compression with a 268 Comp Cam, Edelbrock 600, and the s10 conversion headers with 2 1/4 exhaust with and H pipe.
