1972 proyect... i need help with 10" rims
Hello! i am new here, i'm from Chile and i have been reading a lot on this forum, i have a big question about the rims for my 72'... while my truck is in painting i bought 4 rims 15x10" US WHEELS SUPER SPOKE, so i want to put them all around, the problem is that here i see that most of the trucks use 8" in front and 10" in the back......
will i have issues with the 10" in the front? Can i put disc brakes in the front with a 10"? i am also thinking in 275/60R15 Tires all around.... Thanks guys! |

It will all be dependant on back spacing of front rims. You won't have issues with factory size disc brakes fitting inside a 15" rim. 275 up front is a pretty large tire. Biggest I've seen is 255/60/15, but that doesn't mean it can't be done.

My truck has been lowered 4" and has 10s all the way around. I am not sure about the back spacing but when I bought it, it had 295 50 16 on it. I am now running a 235 50 16. The 295 would rub a little if I hit a big hole or something.

Thanks friend!... i have read that for 10" rims... 245/70R15 on the front and 295/60R15 on the back should be fine too.

Re: 1972 proyect... i need help with 10" rims
I had 275's up front and it's dumb lots of stress on power steering when your not moving fast or it's impossible to move with no power steering( longhorn on 31" mudders no p/s) Gotta love it. 10's will be pretty wide up front but clearance shouldn't be an issue with stockish components..
