Flip kits offset the axle?

So on my Suburban build I am just welding on spring perches but I did order a flip kit a few years back and the locator hole for the leaf spring pin is offset almost an inch. It looks just like this. I thought it might be to center the axle in the wheel house but mine looks like its in the right place in relation to forward/back.
Why did the offset in the kits?

The offset is to allow more driveshaft travel. When you install a flip kit, the axle moves upwards. Therefore making a shorter distance from your transmission tailshaft to your differential. So the offset hole moves your axle back to allow more driveshaft movement so the yoke doesn't bottom into your transmission.

I just used the Mopar Spring perches. No offset. I wanted to keep the rear centered in the wheel well. I did use a shorter driveshaft. I found one in the junkyard that was 1" shorter. The new driveshaft was bigger diameter and required a hybrid rear u-joint. No big deal though. My stock one was 55 1/2" and the 1988 Chevy 2500 4x4 shaft was 54 1/2". Perfect for me.

Do the mopar ones have the right pin hole size? None of the seem to list the size of the hole. I got some from Summit and the hole is too big.

the Mopar Spring perches fit the center bolt nut perfectly. Since the axle now sits on top of the springs, I put the center bolt in from the bottom, with the nut on the top, and to mate the nut with the perch hole.

I was going to buy the kit in the picture at the top of the thread. So with this kit, the wheels won't be centered in the opening?

any flip kit u buy the wheels would be center....

The rear is moved back 1" so it is not centered anymore. But it is hardly noticeable.
