61 Apache (C10) Engine Perches
Hi, converting my 61 to 73-87 C10 front suspension. What engine perches do I use for my motor mounts for a small block? What was on my original suspension was kind of a home made mess. Do I want perches for a 73-87 or perches that would have been on the 61? Thanks for your time and assistance, Dave

Re: 61 Apache (C10) Engine Perches
engine is a ????
I believe the 73 up perches work and you will need an adapter plate and after market isolators or you can go with the earlyclassics.com for an LS engine. There kit is kick ass and I used it on my 60 to LS build. These guys have a whole kit for a 63-up Chevy truck with a little modification you can get it to work on your 61. The 60-62 are anomalies when it comes to certain parts because these 3 years in particular are not reproduced due to the number made compared to the 63 up and the 59 down. Our years are just different in too many ways for after market to start making just for us.

Ah, Thanks. I have much to learn. The truck came with a 69 327 which I may use or an older 350.
