Why do people clear coat these and not just let them age gracefully. Also, $22k?

I'm not a fan of the clear coat either. If it took Mother Nature 50 years to get it to that state... what's a few more years? As long as it's kept dry.

I don't think the price is too out of line, considering the upgrades done. Right now $22,000 C works out to around $15,700 US.
