Motor Mount Help Please

Replacing motor mounts in my truck when i put the new engine in (tonite) and need the proper lenght of the motor mount bolts. i know they are a 3/8 bolt, but need the proper lenght of the bolt. thanx alot guys

Is this on a SBC or BBC? With my SB I just reused the centerbolts from the old mounts. They didn't give me new ones, and the old ones were in fine shape after some cleaning...

If you need this truck as a daily driver I'd recomend reserving a weekend for that job. It took me a couple of days to get it done. I had to end up unbolting the towers, bolting those with the mounts to the engine, and using a couple of home-made guide studs made out of some 3/8" stock to get the holes to line up. What a pain...

wow. that sounds intense. i do neeed the truck as a daily driver, but its not going anywhere without the engine. anyways, its a sbc, a 350. i dont have the old bolts, they went mia. i dont know what happened to them,so i need measerments on the bolts in order to find the proper lenght. thanx alot

the bolts that fasten the mount to the eng block are 3/8 -16 NC thread, 1" long should do the trick. On the bolts from the bottom of the stands into the mount, they are 7/16-14 NC thread....go 1 1/4 to 1 1/2", as they have a lock, & a large (also thick) flatwasher. Good luck,crazyL
