One for you stock guys...

This is a truck that a friend of mine restored and recently sold. I could pick on a couple things about the stock issue, but I will leave that up to someone else.

Major Droolage!

That color is sweet! That pickup box clearly isn't correct but it's well-done. I wonder whey he didn't paint the intake manifold. Otherwise the engine bay looks totally stock.

It may not be completely stock, but it looks great and very tastefully done. I like it!

Oh my goodness!! wow, where did he get those hubcaps, if im not mistaken they look like smoothy wheels with little spinners on the hubcaps instead of the baby moons?!?!! I've been looking for something like that for years...please ask him

Aaah..gotcha. I thought that was a bad thing or something. I think what he did with the engine is sweet.
Of course I have a bit of a biased opinion on that subject....

toms68, yeah I had major droolage too when I saw it near completion. The box looks so good, but something that close , I would had to paint it.
I don't think he would mind us picking on it because if something is "incorrect", and there are a few, I know he did it intentionally.

Mandarin, I will check on the wheels, but give me a few days, I have been nagging him a bunch lately. If I forget, remind me OK.
N2TRUX, good looking engine. It's so black I can't really tell, but I assume that's the 77.
I love that color. If and when I do another project I WILL use that color, something like that only 4x4 styleish would be cool.

I think I saw that truck at a swap meet last year.
Was it owned by a guy from Abilene?
