Best steering gear conversion
I have done steering gear conversions on GM A-Body cars using more modern steering gears and conversion fittings for the hydraulic fitting to go to the o-ring type gear boxes.
Does anyone know a good conversion box for a '72-vintage 1/2 ton power steering box? The more modern Saginaw boxes have a great feel and possibly quicker ratios. Wonder if an '87 box would be much of an improvement?? Thanks! Last edited by DANTIP; 06-02-2016 at 09:49 AM. |

Re: Best steering gear conversion
I thought CPP sold the Saginaw 600 (or maybe 500), which is what I have in my Camaro, and I'm pretty happy with it.
