Can I change the flex plate with the engine installed and transmission/transfer case installed? Wondering if I could slide the trans and xfer case back enough to do the job? anyone done this?

Re: K5 Blazer Flexplate
I just did this last week on a c10 truckyou need to be sure to have a way to support engine and tranny. I removed the drive shaft fron the rear end slid thr tranny and crossmember Back leaving two extra long bolts so it is still connected to the Bloch for extra support Unbolt thr torque converter take the bolts out of the flex plate. I did remove the tranny fluid lines and shift linkage

Re: K5 Blazer Flexplate
Thanks, The good news is I don't have to change the flexplate. When I changed my engine I didn't have the torque converter bolts torque up correctly. Retorque them and my vibration is gone!
