I have seen a daily driver that ran 12's every weekend. He drove it like that for over a decade before it got totaled.
Other than a couple U-joints and C-bearings wearing out, he never had an issue witht eh driveshaft. |

I am just trying to prioirtize my funds for my truck was trying to guess when to count replacing it and having a bigger one built. I don't have any issues now but it doesn't hook up either.

Just rmember: U-joints are cheap. Virtually everything on either end of them is expensive.

it's a 542ci Siamese cylinder, scat steel stroker crank, aluminum bowtie heads w/ a 1250cfm TPI. we use the truck mainly for advertising but when we built it we had Venolia cut a custom set of forged pistons @ 9.75 to 1 so we could burn premium pump fuel (and it uses alot of it about 2 mpg) without pinging so it could be driven to the shows and such.

He isn't the only one that was wondering about 900 horsses.
Good info. Have you had it down the 1320 yet? If it hooks up it should be pretty fun, but I think you'd be kicked off the track for lack of safety equipment after the first run huh? |

it would get kicked and the tranny wouldn't stand it if it ever "hooked" up, just wait till truck 3 is done (it might take a couple years) w/ a merlin 705 and the drivetrain to back it up and it will be street legal (1400hp plus). We are starting to gather the pieces for the body now.

maybe when you are here we will go for a ride (it is always fun at 90mph in high gear at 1/3 throttle to start burning the tires)
