Frame questions
Hi, so I have a question. When did GM change the crossmember location on the 73 to 87 four-wheel-drive three-quarter ton pick up? I've heard In 1985 and the crossmember location was different, and the frame wasn't as strong. Can anybody please provide some input to this

Re: Frame questions
I remember all of the rear crossmembers being in the same place. They did cut ovals out of them to reduce cost/weight.

Re: Frame questions
My 80's 1 ton frame doesn't have the holes drilled, and is riveted in. Idk if it helps but it was in the same location as my 79 k10.
