remove grille
how do you remove a grille from a 1947 chevy truck.

Here is the service manual version.
Save that to your computer and expand it so it is easier to read. Basically you need to open the hood and remove the panel that the hood latch sets in and then remove the top bar of the grill. you have to reach the screws that hold the outer edges of the top bar to the fenders from behind the grill. Reach up in the corner behind the top bar after you get the latch panel out and you can feel the heads of the hex head sheet metal screws. 7/16 I think but they might be 1/2. Most of the grill comes out with 7/16 and 1/2 inch wrenches/sockets and maybe a clutch head screw driver here and there. Then get under the truck and take out the row of bolts/screws along the front edge of the apron under the grill. then go up inside the fenders and take out the bolts that hold the grill to the inner fenders. Are the screws/bolts visible on inside of fender or do i have to remove anything to get to them.
