Question about the scroll on our seats

My truck (1970 2wd 1/2T C-10) is a very basic truck. Black steel door panels and black steel headliner.

The seat that was in it when I bought it about a month ago was basically just the foam with little to no actual upholstery...very ripped up, so I don't know what was in it when it was new as far as the seat upholstery is concerned.

I see that seat vendors sell both a "non-scroll" and a "scrolled" seat cover. Did all trucks come with the scroll, or was the scroll part of an option package. What should this truck have come with? (scroll vs. non-scroll)

Re: Question about the scroll on our seats

I think it was an option, I have a scroll bench and a regular bench. Here is a pic of the bench in the 70 I just bought.
