1978 GMC 1-ton Single Cab 4x4
I dont know for sure how much of a build this will really be since its in pretty good shape already, so lets just consider this a work log. This is a truck i just picked up last week for $1000! Previous owner stated that the motor will not run. He says he pulled thsi engine out of a running driving truck, swapped it into this truck, and now it wont run. Says it will backfire out the carb. We'll see what the problem is but a suspect a 180 out distributor.

Re: 1978 GMC 1-ton Single Cab 4x4
Not totally sure on plans really. At this point I think the plan is to make it as nice as I have to resell it into the the $5k-$6k neighborhood to sort of force it out of the price range of people who just want it to part it out. Or... I might just keep it forever! Lol time will tell. I just can't wait to be Abel to get back to it, get it running, and drive it home from my folks' house where it's at right now! I decided to keep my neighbors happy by not bringing it home just yet.

Well I did jet this thing running today finally! Doesn't run good. Seems like the carb is dumping fuel. I don't even know if it's the right carb anyway.

This looks like my truck's bigger, younger brother. I look forward to following your thread.
