Will 6 lug disc brakes of 73-87 4 x 4 work on 69 conversion
Can I use the rotors off a 4 x 4 front end to go on a 2 wheel drive crossmember from a 73 - 87 truck to maintain the 6 lugs?

I would not think so.4x4 uses totaly different suspention on the front than the 2-wheel drive,4x4 use leaf springs on the front and the 2 wheel drive uses coil springs and a-arms,I'am sure something just would not fit correct, maybe some body with more experiance has more info on it.

I looked in my chevrolet pickup parts interchange manual 1967-1978.
There were no interchanges for 4x4 to 4x2. I would think that the center of the rotor would be larger on a 4x4 for the locking hubs? I have read a few post about people wanting to keep 6-lug and have disc brakes but don't recall anybody having that sugestion. Plus that would be way too easy if you could just swap a few parts and keep 6-lug and get disc rotors ![]() Try it and let us know,I would like to put disc brakes on my wifes truck and be able to keep the wheels that are on it without buying a kit for big$$.

The 2 wheel drive has the bearings and races in the rotor while every 4X4 I have ever worked on (which, admitedly is a very small number) had a 'hat' style rotor that slid over the hub assembly.
