Need a seat lesson...
I have a couple seats now. Only one of them actually slides and folds forward. The others all only slide. They have all come out of 67 or 68 trucks....so the titles say
So what was the reason for the fold forward seat? Was that an option? Thanks!

Re: Need a seat lesson...
The folding seat came in the 67 and some early 68's they have 2 large wingnuts to secure them and keep them from folding . the 68 started the solid bolted together seat bottom and back , It's part of the increased safety items like side marker lights that started then . People were getting launched thru the windshield in crashes also why in 73 the windshields were no longer gasketed in . the 67 Camaro had no side markers and then the 68 Camaro did , Most all car makers bucket seats followed suit with seat back latches around the same time . Thats the best I remember from back then .

Grumpy Old Man is like the Great and Powerful OZ! But, in this case, you should pay attention to the "Man behind the Green Curtain".

Re: Need a seat lesson...
the seat back covers are made different between the folding and solid seats to allow them to fold easily .

Re: Need a seat lesson...
Your going to have to do some fabrication to mount those seats , your jumping 31 years in technology , different floor pans . Just because they might look good doesn't mean it's going to be easy. Use the search bar to find threads on mounting them .these old cabs are smaller with less headroom and even less room with a cab mounted tank .
