67 Swb, 6.0/4L80E, Air Susp. Etc

Whats up guys, my dad just picked up a '67 Swb truck that he and I will be building together over the next couple of years so I figured I would start a build thread to keep track of our progress.

We're from Houston and picked this truck up from Streetside Classics outside of Atlanta a few weeks ago. The truck is in pretty good shape but like all new project it has its issues. Overall, we wanted a complete truck that we could drive right off the bat and upgrade as we wish.

The first stage of the project was to rebuild the steering. Someone added power steering and components from a '75ish C10, but most of the parts were worn.

Today I picked up an LQ9/4L80E swap a couple hours away and we're hoping to get that in and running pretty soon!

Got the old engine out and the new one in over the last week. Coming along nicely, should be able to start it at the end of next week hopefully. I am using CPP mounts and Speed Engineering long tubes. The CPP mounts are a pain and their instructions are garbage. The headers are great, though. I had to cut a piece of the 4l80 bell housing off to get the headers to fit but no big deal.
