I'm back, for better or worse
From my coronation. <-- This was meant to be funny.
Getting serious now... Anyway, it seems as if a small number of members have taken some of my comments to heart, so I feel the need to set the record straight. I'm not quite sure how my opinions could upset them as much as they apparently have, especially since they are usually tempered with , :p , or . To me, these "smileys" denote humor, sarchasm, or tongue-in-cheek comments, not meant to offend or be derogatory. I guess if you read the comments, but fail to read between the lines, you could come to a false conclusion. Some good natured ribbing (or so I intended) has escalated far beyond any intent I had. To diffuse this, I'm offering as public apology to all members who feel I've insulted them or their particular tastes. Furthermore, I have absolutely nothing against customization OF ANY KIND. Though I do not subscribe to that school of thought I don't SERIOUSLY think what you choose to do is wrong. No more than those who prefer customs, should label those who like to maintain the "stock" look as "boring", having "lack of imagination", or failing to think "outside the box". This is not to say that I won't continue with my attempts at humor as I feel this board is intended to be a "fun" as well as informative forum. I also will continue to have "opinions", but they are just that, "an opinion", not a personal attack. I simply ask that if you do have a problem with any of my comments, PM me, I'm sure it can be worked out. Please don't make it your "mission" to "get even". Please remember "Boz-All" is a fictitious character, not intended to bear a likeness to any board member. If you read my signature, you can see I'm even having fun with the new "title" bestowed upon me. I could have taken offense to it but instead have chosen to "embrace" it with humor. I think we can all get along. Thanks for listening.

Wow I read most all your comments and enjoy reading the different points of view I cant imagine anybody would take offence. If everybody wanted the trucks to look the same that would be boring (kindof like keepin a truck stock ) It is all in good fun I think. Hve fun and we will keep ribbin right back

Not a problem!!! Everyone is entitled to His/Her own opinions of what looks good to them ie. Slammed, chopped, lowered, lifted, painted, primered, solid colors, two tone, psychidellic pink, rainbow colored, fuel injected, carb, blown, injected, or just good ole stock!! I personally like just about any style as long as it a '67-'72 Chevy/ GMC!!!!!!!!

CPNE,
I am surprised that someone took offense to your remarks. I thought you made it clear that you were kidding. Jim |

We have responded to each other before about this issue and I don't recall it being anything more than a difference of opinion. I don't think you came off in a way, that I can remember, that you owe anybody a apology. It's all good.
Can I be like the "minister of modification" or something?

CPNE,
I always enjoy your comments, maybe because I agree with most of them. Plus your knowledge of these trucks is one of the best on the board. Keep it coming. Erl

Geez.......I repiled to an earlier email of yours in agreement because I prefer the stock look also. I wasn't aware that your humor was rubbing someone the wrong way. But there's alot of folks on here so you are bound to run into some that take offense. Just like when i posted about being sprayed with gas at the pump because someone most likely intentionally locked the handle in the full position. It was then abruptly implied that it was my own fault and that my intelligence was in question. I was only making it known so others could learn and watch for this type of thing.
It takes all kinds............ Keep the humor coming!

Your Majesty,
First of all, where did you go? Vacation? Hospital? Montana? I hope everything is okay Second of all, where exactly is Belittling? Third, for the record, I’ve never been insulted by any of your comments (I assume this is all a result of our frequent “tiffs”?). I can take a joke as well as the next guy. I agree....... this board should be fun as well as informative. All I have to say is that if you are going to "dish it out", be prepared to "take it" as well. It's no fun when someone gives everyone else $hit but then when the tables are turned.

If we all took what Jeff said as being insulting, the population of this board would drop considerably LMAO
I for one have never taken any of your comments to heart. I actually look forward to your bone stock humor in all your posts. Does this mean by front row season tickets for the CPNE VS SLAMMED 67 are still valid ??? HAHAHHAHA this board has always been a source of information, commraderie and most of all a source of entertainment for me. And having a guy like CPNE around just adds fuel to the fire. No apology needed here man Now that i got that off my chest, I think I'll go chop my top

How can we laugh at anything if we can't first laugh at ourselfs I think the reason we build our trucks is to show our personalities. We can always go out and buy a Honda and comute with the rest of the droids. But we choose to build our boring stockers or those or those silly big rimmed slammers and everthing in between. Each one a refection of what we think the perfect truck should be, thats why no two are alike and neither are we. Last edited by jamis; 10-06-2003 at 02:11 PM. |

1. Self-imposed exile/cooling off period. 2. Right next to your little fifedom of "Immature" 3. I'm not sure why you feel you are sole the reason for this post, though you are one of the several members I wanted to make amends with. If you aren't insulted I ask why you define my comments as "giving $hit" and why the new avatar and title? I think you can see from the comments of others so far, that no one else has taken as much issue as you. I will admit to feeling attacked by a recent post you made that seem to me "unneccessary" to the thread, and in retrospect I overreacted. I guess in your mind that makes me a . My apology still stands to you and anybody else who feels the same way. Taking the high road.... Dubie, there won't be any board brawls. I will "spar and parry" however.

sometimes its hard to do a little ribbing on the board cause you can't see the persons facial expressions to know he's just kidding, so if you read the post for face value you can see how it could get misunderstood, I like to post a little humor myself from time to time, but on occasion I can tell by the replys that it wasn't to well received, but I guess if people don't get the humor, you have to do what your doing and spell it out, I myself love the sarcastic humor, life can be to serious, CPNE just try to back off abit when someone post an obituary, dams I hate it when I gots to look up big wrods, how many of you guys got dictionaries be side your computer?. CPNE all cool here

I always felt when someone posted one of these ,or this one ,or how about this one ,it was done to let your "facial expressions" be known to others. No apology should be needed.

HOLY COW JEFF -- I THINK EVERYONE IS ENTITLED TO THERE OWN OPINION ON HOW THESE OLD TRUCKS SHOULD BE RESTORED.(NO MATTER HOW MISGUIDED) ONE THING I'LL NEVER DO (AT LEAST I TRY) IS CONDEM, OR FIND FAULT, OR PICK APART SOMEONES HARD WORK ON TRYING TO FIX UP ONE OF THESE OLD TRUCKS. A LITTLE HUMOR TENDS TO LIGHTEN UP THE MOOD. I JUST TRY TO GIVE THE RIBBING RIGHT BACK. I'VE NEVER BEEN OFFENDED BY ANYTHING YOUVE COME UP WITH, & IN RETURN I HOPE NOTHING I'VE SAID WAS OFFENSIVE TO YOU. JOHN

I'm here for the trucks....if you say something I don't like...well then I ignore it or look at it that its your opinion and quite likely I'll be stepping on someone's toes eventually. We to wide spread an audience so we are gonna get on each other occassionally. It's all about the trucks....no matter what way we each like them...it's all about enjoying our rides.
Oh yeah welcome back.
