Suggestions on a good stock oil pan for the truck.

Thanks

Re: 396 Oil Pan

As far as I know any car or pickup oil pan should fit. Many of the medium duty trucks have larger capacity pans that may or may not interfere depending on where you position the engine. I have a Moroso 8qt pan on the 454 in my Suburban, but that wouldn't be a good idea on a lowered truck.

x2 on the Chevelle oil pan. Plenty of clearance on my cross member.

Re: 396 Oil Pan

I used GM original chevelle big block oil pan. Think I paid $25 on craigslist.

Not the best pic, but you can see the clearance here

Re: 396 Oil Pan

I'm running a 396 on a drop member'd 65. obviously the drop member raises and moves the motor forward but i didn't have any clearance issues when i was running the stock suspension. i did end up getting a new replacement pan from summit without any fitment issues. Hope that helps.

Re: 396 Oil Pan

There is a bit more room with a pickup suspension crossmember than there is in a car such as a Chevelle or Camaro. Most any BBC oil pan should fit short of one of the large sump pans found in the medium duty trucks.
