'71 4x4 & '71 Chevelle at The Show
Took the truck and the Chevelle both out for a ride recently. Local car show, great time, great weather and had a blast. First time I've showed the truck and the Chevelle at the same time. Very first time for the Chevelle since it came out of recovery aka body and paint. Wife drove the Chevelle, I drove the truck. Hope you guys like the pics.
The two-tone '57 is a documented original one owner 200K mile plus car owned by a retired Air Force veteran. Bought new Oct. 56, shipped to Guam, seat belts added so could be driven on base, shipped twice to Europe, Germany once, England once. 283-4BBL & A/T. Paint is still original !

More Pics Love the stance on the white '57. Talked to the owner and he wants to change the drum brake original front cross member for a straight axle. That would be wicked, love me some straight axle tri-fives !!

Re: '71 4x4 & '71 Chevelle at The Show
Thanks for the nice comments on my rides. I'm sure they are not up to Barrett/Jackson standards to command the big $$ but they both get some looks when I get them out on the street and at local shows. I'm hoping that putting them both in a couple recent shows will give me some more motivation to get back to work on my '57 2Dr. sedan. Used to 1/4 mile it years ago but life, mortgage, kids school and later college got in the way of going fast and as we all know "Speed costs MONEY boy, how fast you wanna' go ". It's been sitting on the side lines way too long, just waiting for some cooler weather and lower humidity. Can't do that stuff as well at 67 as I could when I was 19. But then at 19 I was humping along with an M16 and flak jacket in sunny SE Asia with LOTS of humidity. The humidity was the least of my problems back then !

Re: '71 4x4 & '71 Chevelle at The Show
Very nice. Best of both worlds, lol. I also have a Chevelle, but can never get them both at any cruises together. They are both standard transmissions, and my wife (luckly) can't drive a standard trans.
