Bench Seat slider brackets ID please
I have been told that these are for the 67 & 68 C10's/20/30. I have been showed pictures that they say were 67 & 68's, to me the pics I have seen are different from each other. I have also been told they might be from 60-66 trucks. So that's why I am here to ask my question. Are they from 60-66 or might they be from another year. They came off a 72 C20 and they look like whats on my 68 C10 also. What do you say Guys & Gals (can't forget the Gals)

Re: Bench Seat slider brackets ID please
so what are you trying to do. just try it and see waht it looks like. if you took them out of a 72 that is more than likely what they are for. 68 and 72 are basically the same body style

Here is some pics of the 67 & 68's, and the 69 & 70's, and the 71 & 72's, each is different from each other as you can see. So I ask again what year are these seat slider tracks from my First set of pictures. The last Four pictures are to show the differences in the 67/68, 69/70/71/72's Last edited by ck5566; 09-08-2016 at 04:06 PM. |

Re: Bench Seat slider brackets ID please
Well then I guess I have two (2) sets of seat tracks/sliders for my 68 C10. Now I guess I need to know if these tracks/sliders will Only work on the earlier seats (60-66). My seat does folds down or away from the Gas tank. The seat that is in my truck does appear to be the right size and I can shut the doors so it seems to be right for my truck.

I put a later non-folding seat in my '65 the other day. It came loose with a '71 C10 and had a bowtie on the cover, not sure of anything else. It's a full foam seat and the original was not. A little cutting and cleaning/prep, some functional/good enough sheet metal stick welding, and there it is. As you can note from the welding setup, I didn't really use anything cost-prohibitive for the average hobbyist. Didn't take long at all. I initially thought about finding out what the seat was, trying to find mounts, buying them and hoping they'd actually work, etc...didn't have to think too long. YMMV. |

Re: Bench Seat slider brackets ID please
This may be of limited help. Here goes.
I think the sliders in the OP first post are identical to my 1964 seat sliders. I have 2 sets. If the seat folds forward and has those sliders, then it is likely a pre-1967 seat. This photo shows a 1967 seat I pulled from a salvage yard. It did NOT fold forward. Then again, I can't guarantee this salvage yard seat is original to the 1967 truck. However, bolts did line up correctly in my 1965 C10.
