1961 heater knobs
I bought a set of heater knobs for my control panel (two knobs) my old ones had little metal inserts to aid with holding them on the levers. they would not fit in the new knobs? Maybe i got 64-66 knobs? Glued them on but thats not strong enough as one came off. Does anybody know what I'm talking about lol?

Re: 1961 heater knobs
The knobs are on e-bay from time to time NOS,but you have to ask if the clips are included or are already in the knobs

Re: 1961 heater knobs
Which knobs are you needing, the two or four lever set. I have some extra oem ones, but not a set.

Re: 1961 heater knobs
from what i have found out the 64-66 are different. They have little spurs on the levers to hold the knobs on. Did the vender send me the wrong ones or do they think all years are the same?
1963c--I need the fan and defrost knobs, only 2 on my heater. It's been too long sense i rebuilt the heater and need to find my old stuff. One might have been missing. Anyone know if the 64-66 arms will fit in the 60-63 control?

Re: 1961 heater knobs
Yeah these Early knobs are hard to find! I have a deluxe Control as well and I'm missing the Defrost Knob. I got a set of later air knob without a clip. What a pain in the butt! Lol

Re: 1961 heater knobs
Kimble, I had to use a Dremel and waller out the new knobs for the clips to go in... also added a little bit of lock tight to help fuse them to the plastic knob. just take your time and keep digging them out till they go.

Re: 1961 heater knobs
thanks for the tip Mitch (your tk is looking good by the way) I found my old def knob just need to clean it up. I was missing the fan knob as why i bought the set of new knobs. I only had one insert which is still in the old def knob. good to go for now. 1963c-10 I'm ok for now (until the fan one comes off) will keep you in mind, and thanks for the offer.

Re: 1961 heater knobs
I have a set of new deluxe knobs for my 62 (bought off here some time ago), but they didn't come with clips - anyone know if you can get those separately..?
Thanks
