Re: My son and I are building his first truck
Thanks guys, Its really clean for the yr, The rockers and cab corners are rock solid, thumb sized hole under heel of gas pedal, truck did come with and extra cab because the truck does have some rot under drip edge in windsheild frame, So we are currently working on getting cab refinished

Re: My son and I are building his first truck
Looks like fun, I live in Newaygo County. I got my truck when I was 13 and my dad and I completely redid the entire truck, I'm 20 now and drive it almost daily in the summer!

Re: My son and I are building his first truck
Hey, I am doing the exact same thing with my son. He just turned 14 and he wanted a truck like grandpa had on the farm. So we found a 69 GMC LWB that we are just starting to tear down. I taught him to drive it last weekend, it is a 3 on the tree, he is amazed by it. Same as you, 1.5 years to get it all done! Ours is quite rougher, but that will only add to the enjoyment when done!!

My son and I are building a 70 for when he turns 16 in September. The time goes by fast.
Nice looking project. I'll be watching.

Re: My son and I are building his first truck
I love the OP truck. A friend of mine, that moved down from Wisconsin, has a Chevrolet twin to that truck. He put a five speed from a Camaro in it.
