73 Clip on a 1991 Suburban?
This might be nuts, but....
I really like the look of the old Squares, but I love the AC/Cruise/Seatbelts/Stereo/Carpet/Seats/etc of the newer Burbs. I'm picking the 1991 here because I have a line on a 2500 4x4 with the 4l80E. I believe it is possible to convert the front clip FROM 91 to 73. I have read lots on the 80s swap but have never seen a write up of a '91. Anyone know of one floating around? I'm also interested in putting the 70's side trim on the 1991. Is that possible? thanks! --Nick |

my dad had an 87 he put a 79 front end on. loved that k5.
iirc, his only big issues were the AC. I think he had to have a custom line made for one of the lines |

IIRC, you'll need everything from the firewall up changed out, including the wiper assembly. The front frame horns are also a little different, I think the older ones are a little longer. But yes, it's doable.
