Hot Rod 6 cyl parts
I have a couple of items I'm looking to sell...
1) Clifford 4 bbl intake with carb. Fits 230, 250, and 292. This is the heated intake for good drivability. Carb is a 390cfm Holley 4 bbl. The thing last ran over 5 years ago, so plan on rebuilding the carb. Must run headers with this intake. No workey with stock exhaust manifold. It's very nice. The intake costs 290 new and the carb is 275 new. I'll take 250 plus shipping for both. 2) HEI distributor. This is the normal one with the coil in the cap. Fits 230, 250, and 292s. Comes with plug wires too. They are different plug wires than non HEI uses. Bought from a board member, but not going to need it. I'll take 50 plus shipping. Shipping is from DFW area of Texas. If they don't sell, I'll ebay them. I'm open to trades. I'm going small block. Kevin

How does the heated intake work and is there anything else that would be needed to make it work? Have a 292 that i was thinking about doing something like this with?
Thanks Bruce

Zombie, pictures tomorrow. I'm at the Fire Station today.
The heat is two hose fittings that you splice into a heater hose. It's a spacer that goes between the carb and intake with two bungs on it.

Heated feature. It is a spacer that goes between the intake and carb. I'm told it's very important for good drivability since the exhaust is no longer married to the intake. Two hose bungs are spliced inline into heater hose.

By the way, that's duct tape over the hose nipples in the picture above.
Last picture. The carb is 390 cfm 4 bbl with electric choke and vacuum secondaries. I bought it like you see here, and it hasn't been run in better than 5 years. Will most likely need freshening up with carb overhaul kit.

intake
Firefighter, in my pm was wondering if anything else is needed to hook this up, besides a header and can the stock pedal linkage be used? Also how much to ship to 43725 if known?
Thanks Bruce

No deal on the stock pedal linkage. It really works best with a cable type of set up, like a 72 uses. Lokar also makes a great kit to do this. You'll need to run a wire for the electric choke too. Also, fuel line to carb will neeed moding to hook up to the Holley. The carb can be clocked on the intake any different way physically, but over at inliners.org, they were saying it should be where the primary barrels are both closest to the engine for best fuel distribution. I've never put one of these things on, so I'm kind of just shooting from the hip on all the particulars of installation.
The thing is pretty heavy. I'll make you a deal, if it goes over $20 for shipping, I'll pay the difference.

Think I'll take you up on that, I've got a 292 (you said it will fit 230-250-292 right? You can pm me with payment info and hope mine will work.

It fits 292 also, no worries. You can go to Clifford's website for the complete lowdown.
It will be Monday before I can get it boxed and weighed at UPS to determine shipping. I'll email you Monday with all the particulars. Kevin |
