Re: shock relocaters or shorter shocks
I made my own set of relocaters, someone here made a post showing how to use the existing brackets. I followed their instructions and it worked great .

Re: shock relocaters or shorter shocks
Relocation would be best, you want that shock travel.

Re: shock relocaters or shorter shocks
Om a 5" lowering I would do both ,shock angle will be way off ,travel of shock will be way off.

Re: shock relocaters or shorter shocks
I used a relocator kit and stock shocks on mine, works fine.

Re: shock relocaters or shorter shocks
My '71 GMC has 4" springs, 1" lowering block, shock relocators, shocks, & adj. panhard.... all CPP. I think it feels bouncy in the rear at Interstate speed. Particularly on concrete overpasses with expansion joints. Usually has no weight in the bed.

Re: shock relocaters or shorter shocks
Is it hitting the bump stops or C-notched? My 3" springs and 1" block feel awesome. I have the same stuff you do from CPP and the front 3" springs and lowered sway bar mounts.

Re: shock relocaters or shorter shocks
It's not notched and it's not on the bump stops. It feels soft sprung with not enough shock damping. I have to confess I installed the shocks upside down when I first put it together. Might've damaged them internally maybe.
